Einhorn Yaffee Prescott, Architecture & Engineering (EYP A/E)
Steve Founded EYP A/E in 1973. By 2001 the company had grown from a staff of two to eight hundred and had developed into an award-winning national practice specializing in higher education, historic preservation, classified government projects and technology intensive corporate facilities. The firm’s innovative work has been broadly published in the leading A/E industry journals and in 2000, a monograph, designed and authored by Steve was published and distributed internationally. EYP A/E has consistently been ranked among the top twenty A/E firms in the U.S. EYP Mission Critical Facilities (EYP MCF) was founded in 1997, as a unit of Einhorn Yaffee Prescott Architecture & Engineering.
EYP Mission Critical Facilities (EYP MCF)
EYP MCF was officially launched as a stand-alone company in 2001. Steve served as its President and Chairman, and raised $58 million dollars through an investment by TA Associates, a global private equity investment firm. From its inception, the firm’s vision and goals were audacious. It aimed to be recognized in five years as the leading mission critical facilities consulting firm in the US, and within ten years as the industry leader worldwide. Steve’s over-arching role was the implementation of this vision. These aggressive goals were achieved ahead of schedule. Key to EYP MCF achieving its goals were:
- Providing comprehensive services which solely focus on the strategic planning, design, commissioning and operations of mission critical IT and telecommunication data infrastructure facilities
- Attaining leadership recognition in the design of innovative energy solutions
- Developing a “thought leadership” branding strategy, built upon the continuous publication of white papers and technical articles, company-sponsored regional technical seminars, and EYP MCF principals speaking regularly at industry/customer events
